Go to Where the People Are

A Common Difficulty

A common difficulty in planning an outreach for the Gospel in a community is deciding where to start. What should the focus of study be? How should such a focus be said? How should the outreach be structured? These are all important questions to answer, but another question should be answered first: Where are the people?

Building a Church Website

Step One: Scope

Introduction

As our congregation is in the very early stages of a planned rebuilding of our church website, I decided it may be of use to others to attempt to document the process. Of course, each congregation is unique and has her own unique challenges and opportunities, so this series will attempt to be as generic as possible. I will also endeavor to avoid being overly technical as we proceed.

Everything must begin somewhere, so we will begin discussing the scope of your church website.

Upcoming and Planned Features

UPDATE (2016-02-18): Finished adding last year archive

UPDATE (2016-02-09): Added “spoiler” tag functionality. See bottom of page for live test!

A New Look

With a bit of polishing and refinishing the Castle’s Keep website has a new look! In the coming weeks there will be more finishing touches and adjustments to come, but also new content being added and restored from the archive.

Doing the Most Good

A Giving Focus

During the holiday season, one of the focuses is upon giving. A part of this drive to give involves contributing to charitable organizations. The end of the year is a time full of major pushes and drives to collect foodstuffs and money for the less fortunate.

Hoarding the Blood

Life Saving Blood

Blood donation is one of the many requests made of each of us in order to help out those who are in the midst of an emergency. In many cases, the life saving work of a surgery or other procedure would be impossible without donated blood, especially for those with rare blood types. Because of this need, groups exist to collect donated blood and systems are in place to assure that it is distributed to those who need it.
